Free Presentation and Book Signing by Benjamin Madley
Join the Eastern California Museum along with community partners at the Independence American Legion Hall on Saturday, September 17 at 1pm for a rare opportunity to hear UCLA professor and award winning author, Benjamin Madley discuss his book, An American Genocide: The United States and the California Indian Catastrophe, 1846-1873. This highly acclaimed book features conflicts in the Owen’s Valley (Payahuunadu) that are both disturbing and significant elements of regional history.
